Lishi - GOSO - Smart - Klom -Generic tools
Auto locksmiths have a massive range of tools of which to choose from nowadays, in the earley days we had very basic tooling, air bags, slim jims, basic lockpicking tools, and inner grove picks, whilst the above tools were effective in gaining entry they are quite a harsh method and could have the potential to jam in the lock, damage wafers bend door frames and scratch paint work, then around 2006 we have had a massive jump in the quality and range of tooling avalible, with the most popular being the LISHI branded tools, I have to say i'm a massive fan of these picks as each pick is made to suit each individual lock, i have over 45 of these tools, ranging from the earley basic blind touch picks which at the time (and still are) fantastic tools in allowing a locksmith to gain quick access with zero damage or drama, in the past few years though LISHI have introduced a new breed of lockpicks in the form of 2in1 auto lock decoders, and these are quite simply AMAZING!!, the feedback you get from the tool whilst picking lets you know exactly what state the lock is in, and most car locks can be defeated in a matter of minutes even when dedalocked, an added bonus to the LISHI 2in1 tools is that its possible to get the key code directly from the lock once picked, myself i have found this to be a bit hit and miss regarding the accuracy of the code but using master and slave keys i can cut a tryout key prior to producing a full copy key for the customers. all in all, basic lock picks and rakes are good for vehicles prior to going to laser track keys, after this you need a good quality laser pick, and i would 100% recomend the LISHI 2in1 auto lock decoders and basic LISHI blind touch picking tools.
